Help for Communities

The Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments (COG) is available to help local governments apply for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the North Carolina Department of Commerce and Single Family Rehab funding from teh North Carolina Housing Finance Agency.

The COG also works under contract to administer the CBDG grant programs.

Current Kerr-Tar region projects are:

• Granville County Scattered Site CDBG Grant – rehabilitating homes for low-income residents in the county.
• Person County Scattered Site CDBG Grant – rehabilitating homes for low-income residents in the county.
• Warren County Demonstration CDBG Grant – providing water hook-up for low-income residents.
• Town of Stovall Urgent Needs Project – helping provide water to residents of Stovall.
• Franklin County Economic Development Project
• Person County Single Family Rehab Program – rehabilitating homes of low-income elderly and disabled residents in the county.
