RTCC Meetings
The Rural Transportation Coordinating Committee (RTCC) meets bimonthly (January, March, May, July, September, November) on the second Thursday, typically at 1:30 p.m. Times and locations vary.

NEXT MEETING SCHEDULED FOR May 8, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at the Oxford Public Works Building.

Coordinating Committee

The Rural Transportation Coordinating Committee (RTCC) provides technical assistance and recommendations to the Rural Planning Organization (RPO).

The committee comprises key staff from the N.C. Department of Transportation, Kerr-Tar Council of Governments, regional counties and municipalities and transit operators.

It is responsible for:

  • Supervision, guidance and coordination of the transportation planning process.
  • Making recommendations to the RPO’s Rural Transportation Advisory Committee and to state and local governments on any necessary action.
Approval of the Prospectus, Work Plan, Transportation Improvement Plan, Rural Planning Organization revisions and technical reports of the transportation study.
