Coordinating Committee

The Transportation Coordinating Committee (TCC) provides technical assistance and recommendations to the Rural Planning Organization (RPO).

The committee comprises key staff from the N.C. Department of Transportation, Kerr-Tar Council of Governments, regional counties and municipalities and transit operators.

It is responsible for:

• Supervision, guidance and coordination of the transportation planning process,
• Making recommendations to the RPO’s Transportation Advisory Committee and to state and local governments on any necessary action
• Approval of the Prospectus, Work Plan, Transportation Improvement Plan, Rural Planning Organization revisions and technical reports of the transportation study.
