Projects

The RPO pursues an annual Planning Work Program (PWP) to meet the transportation planning needs of the region.

RPO staff develop the PWP in collaboration with the Rural Transportation Coordinating Committee for approval and adoption by the Rural Transportation Advisory Committee.

Currents projects are:

• Regional Planning (Comprehensive Transportation Plan) - Developing a comprehensive transportation plan to support the five-county region's economic growth and expand mobility options for residents.
• State Planning (Transportation Improvement Program) - Coordinating the public process to identify and prioritize projects that should be included in the state's transportation plan.
