Youth Council

The Kerr-Tar Youth Council is responsible for planning and oversight of employment and training programs for youth aged 14–21 in the six-county region of Caswell, Franklin, Granville, Person, Vance and Warren counties of North Carolina.

The Council’s mission is to provide leadership, resources and public-private collaboration to create meaningful education and training programs that:

• Prepare youth for successful employment in adulthood.
• Improve educational attainment levels
• Provide support systems to supplement training.
• Develop future, productive citizens and leaders.

Council activities are coordinated by the Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments.
