Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy

U.S. Economic Development Association 

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA,) serves as the only federal government agency focused exclusively on economic development. They play a critical role in facilitating regional economic development in communities throughout the nation. Their mission is to establish a foundation for sustainable job growth and the building of durable regional economies throughout the United States. 

With the support from EDA in the Kerr-Tar Region, the Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Government developed a five year Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS.) The Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments is in the process of implementing action items included in the CEDS.
