Please join us in congratulating Kim Hawkins, our Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman, on her 32-year work anniversary on October 17! Kim began her journey with Kerr-Tar on October 17, 1994.

In her role, Kim advocates for residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities, helps address concerns about their care, educates residents and families about their rights, and supports residents’ dignity, choices, and quality of life.

Kim also organizes and hosts the annual Region K Elder Abuse Awareness and Prevention Walk and Conference, bringing our community together to learn, connect, and raise awareness. Attendees enjoy free T-shirts, tote bags filled with goodies, and a delicious complimentary lunch. She encourages everyone to wear purple and silver to show their support for elder abuse awareness and prevention. 💜🩶
