Community Development

The Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments (COG) helps local governments improve housing for low- and moderate-income families through the Community Development Block Grant (CBDG) program.

The COG helps county and municipal governments apply for CDBG grants to rehabilitate to houses in their communities.

The COG also administers housing rehabilitation programs for counties under contract, processing applications from homeowners and working with contractors to complete the rehabilitation projects.
