Administration

The Kerr Tar COG proudly works with five counties (Franklin, Granville, Person, Vance and Warren) and the 16 municipalities therein.  The COG currently continues the following programs: Economic Development Administration, Kerr-Tar Regional Economic Development Corporation, Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act, Aging, Revolving Loan Program, Planning and Technical Assistance, Region K Community Assistance Corporation and the Rural Transportation Planning Organization.

The Kerr Tar Regional Council of Governments aims to promote regionalism that provides opportunities for local governments to enhance and improve the quality of life for our citizens through effective delivery of services and programs.

Finance

The Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments has a budget of approximately $5.5M.  This budget includes federal and state grant funding as well as member assessments. Current programs under this budget include: Aging, Economic Development Administration, Revolving Loan Fund, Planning and Technical Assistance, Region K Community Assistance Corporation, Rural Transportation Planning Organization and Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act.
